Chapped Lips

If your wondering why you might be getting chapped lips in the summer time, here's your answer!

Chapped Lips are actually caused by:
-exposure to excessive sunlight
-exposure to dry or cold air
-dehydration

Everyone already knows that you can simply heal chapped lips by putting on chapstick. But I have researched a couple other ways to heal chapped lips. If you are just planning on using lip balm or chapstick to get rid of chapped lips it needs to have vitamin E in it. This will help smooth the lips better. Also if you can find one containing aloe vera in it will help as well. Another causing factor is flavored lips balm or lip gloss ( By the way lip gloss is the worst thing for your lips!). The flavoring increases irritation encouraging you to lick your lips making them chapped.

How to Prevent Chapped Lips:
-Apply a lip balm with SPF in it to lips everyday
-Drinking more fluids

If you have chapped lips:
-You can use a tooth brush that you DO NOT use for your teeth and get it a little wet, sprinkle regular sugar on the tooth brush and brush gently on your lips. After doing so wash the tooth brush off and gently rub again WITHOUT the sugar. Then dry off with a wash cloth and apply lip balm directly afterwards.

I hope this daily tip for girls helped you if you have chapped lips. Please comment below if you have any questions or requests. Thanks!

Summer Foundation Routine

Every girl hates it when you jump in the pool during summer and all your makeup comes off. You can bring makeup to the pool to re-apply afterwards but what do you do while just lounging by the pool? You don't want to wear a lot of makeup, but you don't want to wear any at all! So instead of using concealer, foundation, and powder on a regular daily basis you should try something very light and not to thick. I suggest a tinted moisturizer. It is not as heavy as regular liquid foundation and has an SPF in it.

The great thing about having SPF in tinted moisturizer is you don't have to apply the thick, oily, regular sunscreen over your already applied makeup. It is light face sunscreen that covers up your blemishes at the same time. Which is perfect for summer! You can buy some tinted moisturizers that are waterproof and some not. I would suggest investing in a waterproof tinted moisturizer because you can use it all year round and its great for summer.

Some tinted moisturizer prices range from $10 to $50. I would suggest going to a department store counter and asking if you can sample their brands tinted moisturizer. That way you can get a feel of how it looks on your skin tone and how much it works to cover up. If you don't want to invest in high priced tinted moisturizers I found about two or three in my local drugstores. The down side of that is that I was unable to find a waterproof tinted moisturizer and I was also unable to test out the product.

I hope you enjoyed todays daily beauty tip for girls! Please check back tomorrow for a new tip! And if you have any questions or requests please leave a comment below. Thanks!
